🌙 Midnight Margarita ✨
Blackberry · Lime · Reposado
Ingredients
2 oz reposado tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
¾ oz Cointreau or orange liqueur
½ oz agave nectar
4–5 fresh blackberries
Coarse salt
Lime wheel + blackberry for garnish
Make it: Muddle the blackberries with agave in a shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and plenty of ice. Shake vigorously and double-strain over fresh ice into a salt-rimmed rocks glass.
Midnight Move: Add a tiny sprig of rosemary and briefly clap it between your hands before garnishing. The aroma makes the whole drink feel a little more magical.
🌿 Garden Margarita 🥒
Basil · Cucumber · Lime · Blanco
Ingredients
2 oz blanco tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
¾ oz Cointreau
½ oz agave nectar
3 cucumber slices
3 fresh basil leaves
Flaky or coarse salt
Cucumber ribbon + basil for garnish
Make it: Gently muddle cucumber and basil in a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, lime, Cointreau, agave, and ice. Shake until very cold, then double-strain over fresh ice into a salt-rimmed glass.
Midnight Move: Don't pulverize the basil. A gentle muddle releases its oils without making the cocktail bitter.
🔥 After Midnight Marg 🎶
Pineapple · Jalapeño · Tajín · Blanco
Ingredients
2 oz blanco tequila
1½ oz pineapple juice
¾ oz fresh lime juice
½ oz Cointreau
¼ oz agave nectar
2 thin jalapeño slices
Tajín
Pineapple wedge + jalapeño for garnish
Make it: Add jalapeño to the shaker and gently muddle once or twice. Add tequila, pineapple juice, lime, Cointreau, agave, and ice. Shake hard. Strain over fresh ice into a Tajín-rimmed glass.
Midnight Move: Want heat without regret? Shake the jalapeño slices with the cocktail instead of muddling them. You'll get the flavor with a softer burn.
🩸Blood Moon Margarita 🌕
Blood Orange · Hibiscus · Lime · Blanco
Ingredients
2 oz blanco tequila
1 oz fresh blood orange juice
¾ oz fresh lime juice
½ oz Cointreau
½ oz hibiscus syrup
Coarse salt
Blood orange wheel for garnish
Make it: Add tequila, blood orange juice, lime, Cointreau, and hibiscus syrup to an ice-filled shaker. Shake until frosty. Strain over fresh ice in a salt-rimmed rocks glass and garnish with blood orange.
Easy hibiscus syrup: Steep dried hibiscus flowers in hot water for about 10 minutes, strain, then combine equal parts strong hibiscus tea and sugar until dissolved.
Midnight Move: Make the hibiscus syrup ahead and keep it in the fridge. You'll have an instant excuse to make another Blood Moon later in the week.
